We encounter these a lot more often than we do actual slights.
And then we react in similar fashion, leading to an escalating spiral.
If this gets out of hand, the relationship is ruined.
Imagined slights are easy to deal with.
Just shine some light on them.
Of course, better yet is to not imagine them at all.
But if that's how we're wired, the next best option is to clarify the intent and shine light on them.
Very often, we find nothing there at all.
