When faced with situations that we don't like or don't want to be in, there are two things we can do.
One is to take control of the situation and make the change that we want.
The other is to embrace the reality of the situation and to treat it as a given, like the laws of nature.
Suffering and pain is in the refusal to do either, but to hope and pray that things will change the way we want them to.
