It is fairly common to hear people complain about being under pressure at work as well as in other settings.
Where does this pressure come from?
When we fail to take initiative, we find ourselves in a reactive state, where we are either being told what to do or have others following up with us on when we will complete something that we promised we will.
Te get away from the pressure, then, is to simply start taking more initiative, to anticipate what is needed and to act accordingly.
To avoid pressure is to stay ahead of the curve.
To invite pressure is to stay behind the curve and find ourselves in a reactive state.
