The single biggest decision we make in life is to define what "enough" is for us.
How much money is enough? How much time spent with friends and family is enough? And what quality is enough? How much progress in our careers is enough? How much of investment in health and fitness is enough? How much of travel, consumption and other purchases is enough?
How we define "enough" ends up defining how we live our lives, what we prioritize and what we pass up on.
Through our actions, we are implicitly defining how much is "enough" for us. But that is usually without the full context of what it means for other things that are not immediately in our purview.
It might be a good idea to take some time out to define what "enough" is for you.
December is as good a time as any.
